Ms. Kathleen Barfknecht 4-5 grade Teacher Riverview Evangelical Lutheran Church & School
	I am known as "Ms. B" among parents, students and staff here at Riverview. I have been serving our congregation's school at many different grade levels since 1980, and currently teach grades 4-5. In addition, I serve as our church's Music Coordinator, a position that includes duties such as directing the senior choir, playing organ during some worship services, and assisting in worship scheduling and planning. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in Tempe. During the course of my career, I have gained experience teaching in all eight grade levels. I also have developed a keen interest in cpomputer-aided instruction and have attended many seminars and workshops focusing on technology. In my spare time, I enjoy playing games of all sorts, reading mystery and suspense novels, and traveling when I get the opportunity.  My favorite classroom activity is teaching God's Word every morning. I believe it is a great privilege to share the Savior and His Word. It gives me great joy to see our children grow in their appreciation of God's love for them.
