Ms. Barbara Arndt
2-3 grade Teacher
Riverview Evangelical Lutheran Church & School
I am a native of the Fox Valley area and grew up in Combined Locks, and currently live in the town of Buchanan with my mother and two sisters. I was raised in a wonderful, large family and have a twin sister who is a teacher in Minnesota. Before being called to Riverview, I taught at Grace Lutheran School in St. Joseph, Michigan. I have been serving Riverview since 1989.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and have earned many extra credits in educational courses over the years. I oversee the school library and also serve as the emergency drill coordinator for our school.

My hobbies and interests include reading, gardening, watching old movies, embroidery, visiting historical places and traveling to visit my out-of-state family members. My love of reading helps me to stay current in reading trends, and I love to attend seminars and take summer continuing reading education courses to that end.

I believe that there is no greater joy than to teach children about Jesus every day. I want them to know that He is part of their daily life always. Jesus is their friend, protector, guide, and--most importantly--their Savior. Jesus is our purpose in all we do in life. Acts 17:28 states "
For in Him we live and move and have our being." Without a Savior we are lost...so it is vitally important that we share God's word with others so they, too, can believe and be saved.
