The Christian family of Riverview wishes you a warm "hello!" We invite you
to worship with us and hear the word of God. God's word is the only source
of spiritual knowledge and great comfort for our souls. Through the Bible,
God reveals his plan of salvation: "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
-The Bible is the word of God and the only source of Christian teaching.
-God has revealed himself as Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-God created all things in six days.
-Although people were created holy, they fell into sin through their rebellion against God.
-All people are now born with sin and are doomed to hell unless they are rescued by God.
-Jesus Christ came into the world to rescue all people.
-Jesus suffered and died on the cross to pay the price for our disobedience.
-Jesus then rose from the dead to assure us of victory over sin, death and the devil.
-Thus...salvation is totally a work of God, and a free gift of God's grace.
-Salvation does not depend on the works of mankind.
-Even our Christian faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit.
-The Gospel in Word and Sacrament is the only means through which the Holy Spirit works
and maintains faith.
-All those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior will inherit eternal life in heaven.
-The only business of the Church is to teach these saving truths of Christ's forgiveness.
